Hemingway's Executive Chef Marcel Bonetti has been cooking it up
for Hemingway's Blue Water Cafe for over a decade. Beginning his apprenticeship
at the age of ten in his uncle's three-star hotel in the south of France, he
worked to learn -- never even earning a paycheck until the age of 19. His
passion for the culinary adventure launched a career that has spanned three
continents and nearly half a century of experience. To our great fortune, Chef
Bonetti has found a home here in the Ozarks.
When not in the kitchen, hunting safari in darkest Africa, or fishing in the
Amazon, he is hard at work for the American Culinary Federation (ACF), an
organization dedicated to the teaching and development of young culinarians and
the industry in which they work. In addition to founding the local chapter,
Chef Bonetti helps the ACF to place apprentices and helps to shape policy
affecting the culinary industry.
This accomplished chef has created culinary delights to please an international
host of palettes, along the way picking up such honors as Chef of the Year in
1987 and again in 1990, and the distinguished Auguste Escoffier Medal of Merit,
one of the highest honors awarded in culinary circles.
Together with a team of talented Sous Chefs and many young apprentices, Chef
Bonetti proudly invites you to join him and his terrific team for breakfast,
lunch, or dinner at Hemingway's!
